"All things being equal, people will do business with and refer business, these people know and trust ."
When you are approaching the process of networking, it can be tackled in different ways. Those who use the network successfully, to improve their reputation, are those who see networking as "providing a tool 'instead of' sales tool '. It is these people who are developing the kind of" you know, like you, who you trust "relationship.
As the relationship develops, they find their target more concerned to know more, you know, for example, how they can become involved, and even who can say about it. It is realistic to expect a positive response, but it never comes across aggressive or using a hard sell, you will quickly and effectively develop a virtual "army Personal Walking Ambassador ."
Once you do, your network is a success, and your business will take off, you'll have fun, make lots of money, and serve a lot of people.
There is only one way to change the process and make it much more fun, less stressful, and definitely much more profitable.
When you meet someone new and take part in one to one conversation, take the focus yourself and put it on them. Invest 99.9 percent of the conversation by allowing them to talk mostly about themselves.
Take a moment to think: Is it true that the people we find most interesting are the people who seem most interested in us? Have you ever been involved in a conversation in which a person you do almost all the talking? Did not leave the conversation by saying to yourself, "Wow - what a fascinating conversationalist that person was!" Now that would be a fascinating speaker.
How ?.... Ask questions.
These are issues that should put your conversation partner at ease, and begin the relationship-building process. These are not intrusive, invasive or in any way resemble those of the stereotypical salesman.
And here are the questions:
Question 1:
"How did you get your start 'widget' business ?"
Question 2:
"What do you enjoy most about what you do ?"
Question 3:
"What separates your company from competitors ?"
Question 4:
"What would you advise someone just starting in the widget (his or her) business ."
Question 5:
"What is one thing to do with his business if he knew that he could not succeed ?"
Question 6:
"What major changes you see taking place in your profession over the years ?"
Question 7:
"What do you see as the coming trends in the widget business?
Question 8:
"Describe the strangest (or funniest) incident you have ever experienced in your business?
Question 9:
"What have you found to be the most effective ways to promote your business ?"
Question # 10:
"What is a sentence you want people to use in describing the way you do business ?"
... and a "Key" Question that will set you apart from all others:
Question 11:
"How do I know if someone was talking to would be a good chance for you ?"
Happy connects !!!
